Amelia Earhart Amelia Mary Earhart had the courage and independence to do anything she wanted to do. This includes crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a rag and sharing her visions for aviation and women. She inspired many, formed the send-off women aviators association, and she tried to fly around the world. That is why I think that Amelia Earhart has made a difference. And as I have said, Amelia Earhart has certainly affected many people. Amelia Earhart inspired many women to follow their ambitions and dreams. She is still a symbol of the power and perseverance of American women. When she first saw an airplane, she wasnt very interested, but as soon as she left the ground at a stunt-flying exhibition, she knew that she had to fly. Six months after her first lesson, she bought a second hand biplane painted bright yellow, and named it Canary. She used this plane to later set the first womens record of rising to an altitude of 14,000 feet. On June 17, 1928, she was asked, along with Wil mer Stultz and Louis Gordon, to fly the Atlantic. She was so thrilled that, later, she formed the first women aviators association. The second reason that I think that Amelia Earhart made a difference is because she formed the first women aviators association called the Ninety-Nines, Inc. The Ninety-Nines is an International Organization of Licensed Women Pilots from 35 countries.
